Artificial intelligence technologies and digital data are driving innovations in the health sciences. This course offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creating a simple artificial intelligence application for a health-related use case.
 
For JMM-HSG/UZH students and other students with an interest in digitalisation and artificial intelligence in the health sector. Some familiarity with the Python programming language desirable but not essential. 2 ECTS

Artificial intelligence technologies and digital data are driving innovations in the health sciences. Through a series of in-depth examples, this course will introduce students to the different types of artificial intelligence technology and how they are used in practice to solve problems in medicine and health.
After the course, students will: 
  • be familiar with the uses and opportunities for artificial intelligence in the health sector
  • be able to recognise different families of artificial intelligence approach
  • be aware of limitations and challenges with these technologies
  • know what interpretability of such systems is and why it is important
  • know how such systems are evaluated

Artificial intelligence technologies and digital data are driving innovations in the health sciences. This course offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in creating a simple artificial intelligence application for a health-related use case.
After the course, students will: 
  • know about open-source implementations of artificial intelligence approaches
  • gain hands-on experience implementing a small artificial intelligence application for a health decision-making use case
  • gain practical experience programming in Python 
For JMM-HSG/UZH students and other students with an interest in digitalisation and artificial intelligence in the health sector. Some familiarity with the Python programming language desirable but not essential. 2 ECTS
