Ideation Week 2023 – Groundbreaking start-up ideas in healthcare

The Ideation week of the Health Innovation Space brought together students, young professionals, and industry leaders to develop innovative solutions in the field of healthcare. Participants from medicine, business, economics, and computer science came together, forming a vibrant mix of ideas and expertise.

During the first three days, students and young professionals learned healthcare foundations and explored current challenges in the field. They delved into health systems and economics, while gaining insights into pressing challenges like ageing population, growing prevalence of chronic diseases and preventive care underutilization. After choosing the area of focus, groups worked on their projects throughout the week.

The groups were joined by the mentors from Startup@HSG, who guided participants through their ideation process: from identifying problems in the market and profiling target audience to designing a viable solutions.

On the final day, teams pitched their innovative solutions to a jury panel. The innovative spirit and dedication of the participants exceeded all expectations, with some teams developing prototypes within a very short timeframe. The winning team, CLERIQE, secured funding for further development of their solution - AI-driven platform to automate processes at general practitioners (GPs).

The Ideation Week showcased the power of collaboration, mentorship, and creativity in shaping the future of healthcare. We're grateful to all who participated and supported this journey.
