On June 15, 2026, our research group leader, Dr. Justus Vogel, represented the School of Medicine at the delegates’ assembly of the Liechtenstein Health Insurance Association in Vaduz.
In his presentation, Dr. Vogel discussed the effects of demographic change in Switzerland and Liechtenstein. In particular, he highlighted future trends in potentially preventable hospitalizations among people with chronic illnesses.
Dr. Vogel also presented key findings from a series of recent research studies. These studies serve as important building blocks for the redesign of our healthcare system—shifting from reactive to proactive care within a value- and patient-centered healthcare system.
We would like to thank the Liechtenstein Health Insurance Association for the opportunity to discuss these important health policy issues with the professional community.
